Fund-Raising Committee Members PDF Print E-mail

Luke's House Clinic, a New Orleans free clinic, is soliciting fund-raising committee members to prepare for their Spring 2012 event on March 22nd. Committee members will power silent auction items, food donations from local vendors, and other activities. The first of four committee meetings will be held on Monday, January 30th at 6:00 p.m. at their new clinic location: 2023 Simon Bolivar, NOLA, 70113.

Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Luke's House works closely with church leaders and congregations from across the country to bring healing and compassion to the underserved community of New Orleans.
 
Clinic Heals After Katrina PDF Print E-mail

It has been five years since Hurricane Katrina and many of those who stayed in New Orleans are facing a health care shortage. Doctors have relocated and some hospitals and clinics are closed. Reed Galin shows us how volunteers are bridging the gap.

In partnership with the clinic, United Methodist churches also run a food pantry and collect books for children.  Luke’s House operates two hours a week with a goal of helping clients find long-term care options available in the community.
